The Singletrack Factory to Carry High-Quality Bicycles, Skateboards, Variety of Accessories In Addition to In-House Expertise on Bicycle Setup and Service.

SCOTTSDALE – Drawing upon 18 years of business success in Colorado, a Denver-based bicycle shop has opened its first Arizona retail outlet at the Ancala Village Shopping Center in northeast Scottsdale, according to officials of The Pederson Group, developers of the 175,000-square-foot shopping center located at the southwest corner of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Via Linda.

The Singletrack Factory – owned by Brian Isakson and managed by Nate Espinosa – is a unique retail concept specializing in the sale of high-quality specialty bicycles and skateboards, and “blue ribbon” bike service and setup.

“Our approach is somewhat unique,” Isakson said, “in that we do not carry ‘big-box’ brands because we believe smaller manufacturers provide a better riding experience for customers. In addition, we specialize in providing in-house expertise on suspension setup and fit for any bike. We have knowledge of the latest technology that has improved greatly over the past five years.”

The Singletrack Factory – which occupies approximately 1,050 square feet at Ancala Village – carries a variety of demo bikes from some of the world’s leading manufacturers, including Yeti, Santa Cruz, Ibis, Rocky Mountain and Felt. The new store also offers a wide array of rental bikes for out-of-town visitors.

“We approach our business with a no-nonsense attitude,” Isakson stated, “providing our customers with the best knowledge and service available to keep them riding. We have expertise in servicing and fitting mountain bikes, road bikes and city bikes, so we are a valuable resource for the casual biker, as well as the true biking enthusiast.”

James R. Pederson, vice president of leasing for The Pederson Group, said, “The Singletrack Factory offers bicycling enthusiasts an innovative retail concept in terms of its unique product mix and high standards of excellence in service. Northeast Scottsdale has become a popular destination for both competitive and casual bikers, and we think the new store will be a huge success.”

Ancala Village is anchored by a 46,059-square-foot Safeway Store. Other tenants include ACE Hardware, The Good Egg, Chase Bank, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, Taco Bell, Spinato’s Pizzaria, George & Sons Asian Cuisine, and International School of Arizona.

The center is located in close proximity to some of north Scottsdale’s most successful residential developments, including Ancala, McDowell Mountain Ranch, Scottsdale Ranch and Stonegate.

For more than 31 years The Pederson Group has been a premier Phoenix-based real estate development company specializing in upscale retail projects. The company has developed and remodeled more than 27 highly successful retail and mixed-use projects in the greater Phoenix area, and has developed shopping centers totaling more than five million square feet.
