Largest Privately-Owned Physical Therapy Practice in Arizona to Provide Broad Spectrum of Treatments for Orthopedic and Muscular-Skeletal Conditions for Northwest Valley Residents

PHOENIX – Arizona’s 22nd Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy location will open early in 2016 at The Stetson Village Shopping Center in northwest Phoenix, according to owner Doug Howard and officials of The Pederson Group, developers of the 144,360-square-foot neighborhood shopping center located at the northeast corner of 39th Avenue and Happy Valley Road in northwest Phoenix.

According to Howard, plans call for the new 2,905-square-foot clinic to open “shortly before or after the first of the year, providing northwest Valley residents with a wide variety of physical therapy services for a multitude of orthopedic-muscular-skeletal conditions.”

Founded in 2000 at its first location in Ahwatukee, Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy is the state’s largest privately-owned physical therapy practice with 21 locations throughout the Valley of the Sun, Tucson and Prescott Valley.

Howard said the new Stetson Hills location will initially employ six physical therapy professionals with hopes of growing the staff to more than 20 within the first 12 months of operation. The new clinic will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with morning weekend hours to be added in three to six months. Howard and Logan Moore, DPT, will oversee the operation of the new Stetson Hills location.

“Over the years, our success at our other locations can be attributed to our broad spectrum of physical therapy services that treat a variety of conditions, including acute injury, chronic pain, post-operative care, sports injuries and repetitive motion injuries and conditions,” Howard said. “What really sets us apart is our intent to provide the public with the ‘ultimate patient experience’ throughout their entire spectrum of care, from their initial contact with our office through their treatment and their after-care options.”

Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy also offers a new state-of-the-art treatment – trigger point dry needling (TDN) – specifically designed to target muscular trigger points associated with myofascial pain syndrome. When muscular tightness occurs, spasms begin compressing and irritating the serves leaving the spinal cord. This irritation can result in carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, osteoarthritis, decreased mobility and chronic pain.

“Patients living with any of these diagnoses are ideal candidates for TDN,” Howard said. “We have also found that TDN can help with muscle tightness, muscle spasms and the degenerative process.”

SCOTTSDALE – The Valley’s first La Vie en Day Spa will debut late this year at Ancala Village Shopping Center, according to officials of The Pederson Group, manager and developer of the 175,000-square-foot shopping center located at the southwest corner of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Via Linda in north Scottsdale.

Owned and operated by partners Michelle Duong and Phong Vu, La Vie en Day Spa will offer a variety of beauty services that will attract and cater to Scottsdale residents “looking for a new and innovative spa experience.”
