Jim Pederson Biography
The objectives of any organization start with the philosophy and goals of the owner.
A native Arizonan, Jim Pederson started his career as Administrative Assistant to the Mayor of Phoenix after achieving Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Arizona.
His experience in real estate development began as Vice President of the Grossman Company and then Vice President of Operations for Westcor, Inc. After 10 years experience with these prominent shopping center developers, Pederson began his own company in 1983. Since that time the company has grown to be among the premier retail developers in the southwest.
Pederson has been very active in civic and professional affairs. He has served as an officer of the Valley Big Brothers, Rio Salado Development District Board, Mayor's Sports Advisory Committee, Phoenix Community Alliance, Valley Partnership, Chairman of the State Democratic Party and was a winner of the Phoenix Outstanding Young Man Award.
He has been awarded the CSM (Certified Shopping Center Manager) and CMD (Certified Marketing Director by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Jeff Manelis Biography
Jeff has been with The Pederson Group since 1990 and directs the operations of the company. This includes the property management, construction and financing disciplines.
Jeff was born and raised in the Chicago, Illinois area and graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Prior to entering the real estate development field, he was a financial representative and financial analyst in the Chicago area.

Rob Bassett Biography
Rob Bassett is the COO of The Pederson Group which specializes in the development of class “A” retail shopping center throughout Arizona. In this capacity, his responsibilities include property management, construction, financing and development disciplines.
Prior to joining the Pederson Group, Rob worked for Macerich for 14 years and Westcor for 4 years where he worked on all facets of development and multiple product types including land development, entitlements, auto malls, power centers, outlet malls and regional shopping centers.
Rob is a fourth-generation Arizonan. He received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona and his MBA from Arizona State University.
Rob is a member of Valley Partnership, Urban Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is currently serving as a board member for Valley Partnership. He resides in Phoenix with his wife Jenny and three children.
James R. Pederson
Vice President / Designated Broker
James R. Pederson Biography
James R. Pederson has been with the Pederson Group since 2006 and is the senior leasing agent for the company’s retail centers.
His primary responsibilities include negotiating new lease agreements and working with existing tenants on the renewal of their existing leases. Pederson also is involved with marketing initiatives associated with the company’s retail centers.
Possessing a background in construction management and project development, Pederson attended Arizona State University and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Next Generation Committee.

Amy Malloy Biography
Amy Malloy joined Pederson Group in January of 2018. She manages and oversees development activity throughout Arizona.
Prior to joining the Pederson Group, Malloy worked at Evergreen Development, managing retail development and redevelopment projects throughout Arizona, California, and Colorado. Prior to Evergreen, Malloy was Assistant Vice President of Development at Macerich. During her almost ten years at Macerich, she managed projects throughout the Scottsdale-Phoenix Metropolitan Area, in Southern Arizona and in Northern Arizona, specifically concentrating on the entitlement and redevelopment/development of Scottsdale Fashion Square, Kierland Commons, Biltmore Fashion Park, and Arrowhead Towne Center.
Malloy is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves as Chair on the Arizona District Council’s AZ-Technical Assistance Panel (AZ-Tap) Committee, on the Women’s Leadership Initiative, as well as served for the last four years on the Trends Day Committee for Arizona’s ULI District Council. In 2017, she received a scholarship from the National Women’s Leadership Institute for her involvement in Arizona’s District Council, and in 2006, she was recognized as one of the Top 50 Women in Business, in The Business Journal of Phoenix.
Malloy holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Malloy has two children, Madeleine and Brendan, with her husband John.

Casey Treadwell Biography
Casey has been in the commercial real estate development business for almost 15 years.
He graduated from the University of Arizona where he studied film but began his professional career at Clear Channel Outdoor in sales. Casey later moved on to the real estate business joining Bourn Partners as a Project Manager where he contributed to the development and leasing of junior anchors and shop buildings within two 300,000+ s.f. projects in Tucson, AZ.
From 2008-2017 Casey expanded his responsibilities to include development management, entitlements, acquisitions, and underwriting, as well as shop, pad, and anchor leasing with Vintage Partners.
